Ok- so I may not be an expert fisher, like a lot of you out there, but I've spent some time fishing on lake webster and have been reading some great articles about spring fishing in Northern Indiana lately. I just read one- Spring Fishing Underway, from the South Bend Tribune. Are you and your friends planning a spring fishing trip? Here are some tips I read in the article that can make your spring fishing succesful:
"The key to any good fishing during the early spring is to find the warmest water. The northernmost manmade channels or shoreline shallows warm up first and fastest because they receive the most benefit of the sun.
Sunshine is a big key. Area tackle shop operators report the best fishing days have been those when water temps were rising, hence the need for sun. Also, dark bottom with stained water warms up faster than the clearer, sandy bottom lakes."
